My cousin, a spinal cancer survivor, explained to me that you will have a life before cancer and a life after cancer. But you can never return to the innocence, trust, and health — mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical. This photo journal is my attempt to reconcile my life with brain cancer.
I was a photographer before cancer, and creating images, along with friends, family, and my service dog, got me through the darkest time of my life. It was nearly a five-year detour, but my goal was always to return to photography.
You can visit my shop to purchase some of my original photographs on a variety of items — from mugs to socks!
I’ve received $1.3 Million in medical care. I would appreciate any support on this journey.
A memorial to my service dog, Maui.
